摘要

•CD28 is required for the stable maintenance of tTregs, but not pTregs in spleen through induction of their slow proliferation.•CD28 is required for rapid proliferation of both tTregs and pTregs under lymphopenic condition.•The rapid proliferation of pTregs under lymphopenic condition mainly depends on the Lck-NFκB pathway of CD28, whereas tTregs require an additional unknown pathway.
