Catalytic fast pyrolysis of durian rind using silica-alumina catalyst: Effects of pyrolysis parameters.

•The qualities of thermal and catalytic bio-oils (from durian rind) were compared.•High-surface-area amorphous microporous silica-alumina catalyst was prepared.•Silica-alumina catalyst promoted the formation of hydrocarbon at 400 °C.•Silica-alumina catalyst enhanced the formation of aromatic compounds at 600 °C.•Deoxygenation degree of bio-oil produced with silica-alumina at 600 °C reached 94%.
