•Rs1063340-C and rs1049807-G alleles were associated with the reduction of SVR rate.•Genetic variants in CCL3 and CCL4 may be marker to predict HCV treatment outcome.•Rs1063340 interacted with the level of glucose influences the rate of SVR.
