Predictive factors for local recurrence after glansectomy and neoglans reconstruction for penile squamous cell carcinoma.

•Glansectomy and neoglans creation is an organ-sparing treatment for penile cancer.•Little is known on factors influencing local recurrence after glansectomy.•In this large cohort of glansectomy, the local recurrence rate was 13%.•Risk factors were perineural invasion, G3 disease, positive margins and CIS.•Risk groups were defined as low (ref) intermediate (HR 13.9) or high risk (HR 34.2).•These data can be used for patient counseling and tailoring follow-up.
