Anti biofilm effect of dihydromyricetin-loaded nanocapsules on urinary catheter infected by Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

•Cationic nanocapsules containing Dihydromyricetin (NC-DMY) were produced.•NC-DMY demonstrated adequate physicochemical characteristics.•NC-DMY and free Dihydromyricetin demonstrated activity against Pseudomonas aeuginosa.•NC-DMY reduced the formation of biofilm on urinary catheters by about 70%.•NC-DMY may be used as a promising antimicrobial and antibiofilm formulation.
