Using a local low rank plus sparse reconstruction to accelerate dynamic hyperpolarized 13C imaging using the bSSFP sequence

•A LLR+S reconstruction technique was implemented for undersampled HP 13C imaging.•2D T2 mapping and 3D dynamic imaging was achieved for multiple compounds.•This technique was applied to healthy Sprague-Dawley rats and tumor-bearing mice.
