摘要
•Migrainous infarction presenting with a CLN appearance in MRI is extremely rare.•Cortical spreading depression has been gradually accepted has the main pathogenic mechanism in migrainous infarction.•Hypoperfusion might be one of the triggers inducing the blood-brain barrier disruption in the sub acute phase of the lesion.•Accumulation of paramagnetic or diamagnetic compounds in the injured area can occur.•CLN can be an interesting lesion model, providing information about cortex function.
