摘要
•Large predators can significantly impact livestock industries.•We used spatially-explicit models to forecast the effects of the State Barrier Fence and other control types on wild dogs.•The results indicate that wild dog populations are self-sustaining.•Current control activities are not sufficient to reduce wild dog abundance inside the State Barrier Fence.•Wild dogs are controlled only when control is applied on large scale, intensively and continuously.
