•Lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein 2 (lamp2) is involved in autophagy.•CSF lamp2 was measured in PD patients and controls with or without LRRK2 mutations.•Lamp2 decreased in female LRRK2 PD patients vs. both control groups (p ≤ 0.005).•Lamp2 did not appear to be associated with age, PD progression, or PD duration.
