Evaluation of Quality and Preparation Time of Retrograde Cavities in Root Canals Filled with GuttaCore and Cold Lateral Condensation Technique.

•Retrograde cavity preparation in roots filled with GuttaCore (GC) and cold lateral condensation (CLC) techniques is examined.•The time required for the preparation and the quality of the dentin cavity and surrounding dentin are studied using stereomicroscopy and micro–computed tomographic scanning.•Retrograde cavities were prepared faster in roots filled with GC than with the CLC technique.•Dentin was not harmed during retrograde cavity preparation in the GC group.
