摘要
Aim: PLIN2 regulates intracellular lipid metabolism in macrophages and has been suggested to play a role in atherosclerosis . Preliminary studies of a polymorphism in PLIN2 (Ser251Pro) suggest that the minor Pro251 allele in PLIN2 may exert beneficial effects during foam cell formation and atherosclerosis due to decreased intracellular cholesterol accumulation and plasma triglyceride levels. This study aims to investigate how oxLDL-treatment affects human primary macrophages carrying different PLIN2 variants
