摘要

•CtBP2 is down-regulated under insulin-resistant conditions.•CtBP2 ameliorates PA-induced insulin resistance and ROS accumulation in HepG2 cells.•The protection of CtBP2 to HepG2 cells is through ROS mediated JNK pathway.•CtBP2 reverses the effects of PA on lipid accumulation, hepatic glucose uptake and gluconeogenesis.
