摘要

•Films from sugar beet and bagasse holocellulose were prepared and tested.•Specimens prepared from combined specia had the best mechanical properties.•All the results could be explained by the ratios of polysaccharide composition in films.•Both types of agricultural by-products might find industrial applications.
