Prenatal and childhood traffic-related air pollution exposure and childhood executive function and behavior.

•We studied early life exposure to traffic-related air pollution and child behavior.•Exposure to ambient black carbon predicted worse behavioral regulation ratings.•Childhood black carbon exposure appeared more influential than prenatal exposure.•Other traffic exposure measures were less strongly associated with behavioral scores.
