摘要
•Aminolevulic acid-loaded nanocapsules (NanoALA) are stable over a period of 90days.•NanoALA promotes greater ALA uptake than the free ALA.•The therapeutic efficacy is above 80% with only 1h incubation with the prodrug.•NanoALA needs shorter exposure times and lower concentration than the free ALA.
