•Impulsive generalised high-order Recurrent Neural Networks with timevarying coefficient and continuously distributed delays have been studied.•The existence and the global exponential stability of piecewise weighted pseudo almost-periodic solutions have been established.•An illustrative example is given to prove the effectiveness of our results.
