Agricultural recommendation system for crop protection.

•The paper addresses the information heterogeneity in pest treatments descriptions.•We propose a model to describe the interrelation between crops, pests and treatments.•The model describes the provenance of the information to trace its source.•462 crops, 549 pests and 42397 treatments have been obtained from official guides.•A recommendation system that suggests the treatment for a given pest has been created.
