摘要
The number of autonomous cars operating on the road increases rapidly. What is the effect of autonomous cars on the future of traditional (driver) cars on the short and long term? In this paper, we talk about the possible future of driver and driverless cars as they continue to affect each other. Moving from driver car to driverless car could be a long and hard process or could happen smoothly, if at all. While technology was able to strongly assert itself in this domain by providing robust and reliable performance of autonomous vehicle, little else has been done in evaluating social and cultural aspects. Diver-less vehicles could have significant impact on diverse jobs. Recycling driver cars could be a big challenge. The interplay of driver and driverless cars on the street is not well studied. If the majority of cars on the street became autonomous, their effect on the few remaining driver cars could be a challenge. Can we force all people to use driverless car or do car companies need to continue producing both types of cars, and for how long?
