摘要
Cyberspace is a global and dynamic domain characterized by the combined use of electrons and electromagnetic spectrum, whose purpose is to create, store, modify, exchange, share and extract, use, eliminate information and disrupt physical resources. In this study we adopt a comprehensive bibliometric approach to analyze the Cyberspace literature with the aim to quantitatively identifying current landscape and trends on Cyberspace, which consists of scientific outputs analysis (year, document type, subject categories, Countries, Institutions, and keywords), network analysis (co-occurrence frequency, betweenness centrality, and community) and evolution analysis(burst detection, s-curve, theme river, alluvial flow map). To this end, we collect 2195 articles related to Cyberspace retrieved from Web of Science between 1989 and 2016. The results indicate that the year 1999 is the most productive year and research of Cyberspace in 2016 is in the mature period with a maturity of 95.27%.What's more, keywords with highly burst strength such as world wide web, online, cybersecurity, law, intellectual property, internet, cyber warfare, computer mediated communication, adolescent, globalization and behavior indicates the emerging trends of Cyberspace which may serve as a potential guide for future research.
