Assessment of impulsivity in adolescent mice: A new training procedure for a 3-choice serial reaction time task

•To complete training of the task, only 3 weeks were required in our new procedure.•The adopted regime of food restriction resulted in a nearly normal growth pattern.•The new procedures enabled the assessment of impulsivity in adolescent mice.•The age-related differences in impulsivity were detected with the new procedure.•The computer programs of new procedure are available in supplementary materials.
