摘要

•We assessed subjects with and without major depression (MD).•They recalled and analyzed negative (NG) and positive (PS) events (EVS).•Adopting a third vs. first-person perspective led to better understanding of NG EVS.•NG affect decreased and PS affect increased when subjects analyzed PS events.•PS affect increased/NG affect decreased more for the third-person perspective.
