Multi-agent oriented solution for forecasting-based control strategy with load priority of microgrids in an island mode – Case study: Tunisian petroleum platform

•A new control strategy based on a forecasting oriented solution and load priority is proposed.•The proposed strategy uses a token-based multi-agent model.•The multi-agent solution is implemented in Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA).•The paper’s contribution is applied to a Tunisian petroleum platform.•The proposed strategy increases can ensure a high power supply availability.
