Simple Group Photo Sharing Using Facesense

Harassment, based on photos available on social media and other electronic media, has become a major problem in developing countries where internet usage has emerged without adaptation to privacy, awareness etc. We have developed a software sensing layer on top of existing software that would exploit the social connections and use that information to make sure certain images are revealed or not across group of people conceptualized as Softsense. A prototype implementation of the system is deployed named Facesense that is a small network for only photo sharing. Our proof of concept system has been deployed and used by students of a particular University in Bangladesh and after two weeks of usage, students have shared their views, concerns and experiences regarding the tool.
