•A novel application of a visualization method to the interpretation of multiple, interacting levels of molecular data as regulatory cascades.•Regulation is a type of molecular interaction better represented as a directed flow than network graph.•Co-regulation by miRNAs, for example, is a biological feature better represented and identified visually than statistically.•The R package is easy to use, robust to a wide range of biological data, and widely accessible through Bioconductor and Github.
