The advantages of hypnosis intervention on breast cancer surgery and adjuvant therapy.

•To our knowledge, this is the first large trial evaluating hypnosis as method of anesthesia in breast oncologic surgery.•Anticancer treatments are associated with many side effects: this study analyses the benefits of hypnosis on cancer treatments.•This study develops the concept of integrative oncology which allows patients to decrease their anxiety.•Hypnosis allows patients to actively participate in their treatment plan.
