摘要

•Ninety day mortality was 4.7% after radical radiotherapy for head and neck cancer.•Among those treated with concurrent platinum chemotherapy, the 90 day mortality rate was 0.4%.•Factors influencing early death: performance status, haemoglobin, weight, age, multiple comorbidities.•Overall survival at 1, 3 and 5 years was 84%, 62% and 53%, respectively.
