摘要
•A variable step-size method is proposed for sign algorithm to improve the convergence rate in impulsive noises.•The variable step-size is adjusted by an M-shaped function inspired by the robustness of correntropy.•Computational complexity analysis shows that the new method is simpler than most robust variable step-size methods.•Theoretical analyses on the variable step-size and the steady-state EMSE of the proposed algorithm are presented.•Simulation results confirm that the new algorithm can achieve desirable performance with low computational complexity.
