摘要
Cross frequency coupling (CFC) quantifies the extent to which low frequency phase controls high frequency amplitude in electroencephalograph (EEG) signals. Neurologically, this can be seen as a global communication between head regions influencing the local processing of stimuli by neuron groups. Several metrics exist for measuring CFC and this paper presents a modification that can be applied to a number of them that decrease the sensitivity to false low frequency phase couplings that arises from real world filters. We show that this method improves CFC results in subjects participating in a video test looking at the perceptual quality of video.
