摘要
This paper reflects upon the opportunity to use mobile and wearable technologies to capture and document food experiences, processes and contexts as revealed in our pilot study to understand sustainable food behaviour, specifically why people do not consume certain fruit and vegetables. The study found that one of the main reasons for the low level consumption of underutilised crops was a lack of knowledge about how to eat/prepare these fruits and vegetables. The paper proposes a digital intervention that augments a mobile food diary/recipe app with wearable cameras, allowing users to 'stitch together' images related to food (e.g. preparations) into food stories or recipes for sharing across generations and communities, as an example of Mobile HCI sustainability.
