Adaptation Of Modelling And Identification: An Aeronautical Engineering Perspective

A model is used for conveying information because it is the embodiment of knowledge that aims to clarify the problem domain, categorise the solution domain, or some combination of both. The information is primarily conveyed between the model constructor and the model user; both being within the engineering bounds. However, over the last two decades, this situation has been changing and the information now needs to be shared amongst stakeholders beyond the engineering bounds. Where previously the languages of the operational environment and engineering were relatively close, the languages being used for the strategic research agenda are more distant. The author suggests development of a framework aiming to integrate the social sciences with the physical sciences.
