摘要

•An LC–MS screening method was developed for Jatropha phorbol ester toxins in pet treats.•This was done as part of FDA investigation into complaints of dog illness.•Using the developed method several investigational pet treat samples were analyzed.•No toxins were observed at/above the lowest concentration tested.
