摘要

•Protea hybrid ‘Susara’ (PS) showed good DPPH radical scavenging activity.•The antioxidant activity is correlated with the phenolic compounds.•Tissue ultrastructure of PS exhibited high concentration of polyphenolic compounds.•PS is a good source of 1,5-anhydro-d-glucitol.
