446 Utility of Double Balloon Enteroscopy for the Evaluation of Obscure GI Bleeding in Patients With Roux-en-Y Surgical Anatomy

Overt obscure gastrointestinal bleed (OGIB) poses a unique challenge in patients with altered gastrointestinal anatomy. Potential bleeding sites, such as the excluded stomach or distal jejunojejunal anastomosis are inaccessible in Roux-en-Y anatomy per typical endoscopic tools. Fortunately, balloon-assisted enteroscopy (DBE), provides newfound access these locations, and as such provides a wealth of data as to the etiology these OGIB, as well as how to best treat them. To the best of knowledge, there is no study evaluating the utility of DBE for overt OGIB in patients with Roux-en-Y anatomy.
