Factors influencing variations in the thermal conductivity of polycrystalline ZnS and Cr2+:ZnS

The thermal conductivities of polycrystalline ZnS grown by chemical vapor deposition (CVD), hot pressing, and CVD with hot isostatic press post-processing were measured. Results showed that the grain boundary is the key factor influencing the thermal conductivity of polycrystalline ZnS. The thermal conductivities of Cr2+:ZnS obtained through a single fabrication process but with different doping concentrations were measured. Findings revealed that the doping process, temperature, and doping concentration are the main factors contributing to variations in the thermal conductivity of Cr2+:ZnS.
