Prognostic value of type D personality for 10-year mortality and subjective health status in patients treated with percutaneous coronary intervention

•There are controversies and limitations of prognostic value of Type D personality.•A prospective study in 1190 percutaneous coronary intervention patients.•Adjusted Type D personality was associated with 10-year all-cause mortality.•Introducing depression and anxiety made the association non-significant.•Type D personality was not associated with 10-year subjective health status.
