A suite of Gateway® compatible ternary expression vectors for functional analysis in Zymoseptoria tritici

•We have developed a suite of 32 Gateway® compatible ternary expression vectors.•These vector facilitate rapid construction of vectors for gene overexpression and protein tagging.•All vectors integrate into the Ku70 locus circumventing phenotypes associated with random integration.•All vectors complement the ku70 lesion in Z. tritici ku70 strains.•Vectors can be easily modified through yeast recombination and thus can be adapted for use in other organisms.
