Viscosity of { x CO 2 +(1− x )CH 4 } with x = 0.5174 for temperatures between (229 and 348)K and pressures between (1 and 32)MPa

•New viscosity data for CO2+CH4 are reported for a wide range of (T,p).•The new measurements are consistent with and extend literature viscosity data.•The new data deviate systematically by up to 16% from two extended corresponding states models.•A molecular dynamics corresponding states model reproduces the data within 4.2%.
