Incorporating weather sensitivity in inventory-based estimates of boreal forest productivity: A meta-analysis of process model results.

•We model forest carbon fluxes of a 63km2 boreal landscape with five process models.•Results are compared to measured fluxes and long-term forest inventory.•A meta-analysis is used to identify similarities among model results.•We use these results to relate net primary productivity to spring temperature.•This simple relationship could be used to make inventory models climate sensitive.
