Outcome following postanoxic status epilepticus in patients with targeted temperature management after cardiac arrest.

•Electrographic status epilepticus (ESE) occurs in 1/3 of comatose patients who suffered from cardiac arrest.•ESE can be detected by cEEG.•Only a minority of patients survive with good outcome.•Whether active treatment is beneficial or harmful is not known.
