We demonstrate experimentally compact inline direct-coupled photonic crystal Fabry-Pérot cavities for transverse-magnetic-polarized light. The cavity design is integrated into 40-μm-long substrate-type photonic crystal waveguides in a honeycomb lattice geometry.
