Age Correlated Histoenzymic Study On The Prostate Gland Of Indian Buffalo (Bubalus Bubalis)
INDIAN JOURNAL OF ANIMAL SCIENCES(2006)
摘要
The histoenzymic study was conducted on the prostate gland of buffaloes in neonates (day 1 to 1 month), prepubertal (6 months to 1 1/2 years) and adult (above 3 1/2 years). The cryostat sections of 12 mu m were obtained at -20 degrees C and incubated for phosphatases (AKPase, ACPase, ATPase, G-6-Pase), oxidoreductases (SDH, LDH, G-6-PD, GLD, NADPH-diphorase, 3-beta HSD, MAO, CYO) and esterases (AChEase, NSE). The glandular and ductular epithelia showed negative activity for AKPase in all age groups, whereas the activity of ACPase, ATPase and G-6-Pase increased with age. The activity of oxidoreductases except LDH increased progressively with age. A weak activity of NSE and moderate activity of AChEase in nerve fibres was observed in all age groups.
