Selecting non-target species for risk assessment of entomophagous biological control agents: evaluation of the PRONTI decision-support tool.

•The PRONTI tool aids the selection of non-target species for risk assessment.•We have modified the tool for use with biological control agents.•We test the tool with Polistes chinensis as a biological control agent.•The tool was used to rank 340 invertebrate species for testing with P. chinensis.•Identification of P. chinensis prey in the field partially validated the rankings.
