The effect of annealing conditions on the adhesive properties of TiN coatings

The effect of low-temperature annealing on the adhesion strength and coefficient of friction of TiN coatings deposited on austenitic stainless steel by the vacuum-arc method is studied. The behavior of the coefficient of friction of titanium nitride upon annealing in air is discussed. It is shown that the adhesion strength of TiN coatings does not depend on annealing conditions.
