Impact of amphiphilic triblock copolymers on stability and permeability of phospholipid/polymer hybrid vesicles

•Two block copolymers are incorporated into DOPC liposomes with different ratio.•Hybrid vesicles have substantially higher stability and resistance against rupture.•Permeability of the bi-layered membrane is uniquely modulated by the copolymer.•Perturbation of liposomes is highly dependent on block length in the copolymers.•Mechanism of perturbation on stability and permeability is proposed and discussed.
