Prevalence of texting while driving and other risky driving behaviors among young people in Ontario, Canada: Evidence from 2012 and 2014

•Two studies on the prevalence of three risky driving behaviors among youth.•In both studies, males reported more frequent texting while driving than females.•There was a significant decline in texting while driving between the studies.•Findings suggest that driving-related risk taking behaviors co-occur among youth.
