Study Of Spin-Dipole Strengths In F-16 Via Complete Polarization Transfer Measurements

A complete set of polarization transfer observables has been measured for the O-16(p, n) reaction at T-p = 296 MeV and theta(lab) = 0 degrees. The measured polarization transfer observables are used in order to investigate the spin-parity of the spin-dipole resonance in F-16 A possible indication of 0(-) state has been found at E-x = 11.0 MeV. The obtained results also show the energy hierarchy E-x(2(-)) < E-x(0(-)) < E-x(1(-)), which suggests the importance of the tensor correlations.
