摘要
•Colloidal stable nanoerythrosomes of 200nm average diameter were prepared.•Addition of extra phospholipid (DPPC) to the system resulted in vesicle-like formations.•Membrane proteins and their aggregates torn out from the erythrocytes form vesicle-like entities with the excess lipid molecules.•The nearly spherical vesicles frequently exhibit polyhedral morphology.•Nanoerythrosomes are proposed as a new type of biomimetic, cell derived nanocarriers.
