P‐49: Comparison of the Readability of Colour Head‐up Displays Using LED and Laser Light Sources

This paper compares the readability and colour performance of LED- and laser-based head-up displays for various ambient light conditions according to colour appearance model CIECAM02 and ISO 15008. It is found that laser-based HUDs perform favourably in terms of readability and colourfulness compared to LCD-based systems using either white or RGB-LED illumination.
