摘要

•Au nanopuncheons with high-index facets have been prepared by seed-mediated growth.•The nanopuncheons are enclosed by 24 planes of {250}, {301} and 2 {010} planes.•The nanopuncheons showed high SERS activity toward Rhodamine 6G.
