摘要

•Isua 3806Ma felsic schists are derived from arc-related volcanic rocks.•Their whole rock chemistry shows K↔Na exchange with plagioclase destruction.•Zircon O and Hf isotopic ratios are mantle-like, but whole rock δ18OVSMOW is >+14‰.•The felsic schist unit preserves evidence for the oldest weathering (∼3800Ma).
